Level 3 Coaching Course (Hartleyvale Stadium)

This course will be presented at Hartleyvale Stadium in Cape Town over 3 days:

Day 1 - Friday 27 November  9:00am until late

Day 2 - Saturday 28 November  09:00am until late

Day 3 - Sunday 29 November  9:00am until 2:00pm

 

Cost        :        R3,600 per person

Included :       Meal daily, tea and coffee and 2 refreshments daily

Excluded :       Accommodation and Travel costs

Application Requirements SAHA Level-3:  (Minimum age 23 years)

  • Accredited SAHA level 2 coach
  • Head Coach Senior Club Team, Provincial and/or National U16-U18-U21-level (Minimum 2 years’ experience at this level)
  • Head coach Premier League u.18 schools coach ( Minimum 2 years’ experience)
  • International playing experience will also be taken into consideration

SAHA Level 3 Course Assessment

 Assessment will be based on 5 key aspects:

 Presentation and coaching style

  • Theoretical and practical presentations during the course
  • Co-operation with players, coaches and mentor coach assessors
  • Self-evaluation and ability to adapt to critical evaluation from mentor coach
  • Recognition of prior coaching experience.

Each participant will be evaluated by a mentor coach at the course.

Successful candidates will be issued with a SAHA Level 3 certificate at the conclusion of the course.

WHO FOR

The Level 3 Coaching Course is aimed at individuals aged 23 years and older, who have completed the SAHA Level 2 and meet the following criteria:

  • Head Coach Senior Club Team (Minimum 2 years’ experience)
  • Provincial and/or National U16-U18-U21-level (Minimum 2 years’ experience)
  • Head coach Premier League u.18 schools coach (Minimum 2 years’ experience)

PREREQUISITE

Applicants must have a current SAHA Level 2 Course Accreditation.

WHAT

This course is designed for coaches to progress to a more advanced HP Coaching level.

Topics covered:

1. Management of effective coaching behaviors at high performance level.

2. Utilization of sport science tools that are available to provide support at this level.

3. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of coaching programs to modify future plans and meet participant needs.

4. Identification of technical skills which need to be trained at elite playing level

5. Mentorship of lower-level coaches

ASSESSMENT

Each candidate will deliver a theory presentation as well as conducting a practical session based upon a specific tactical principle/aspect.
