This course is designed for experienced umpires who aspire to take the next step in their officiating journey and become Umpire Managers.

Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the role and responsibilities of an Umpires Manager.
- Provide constructive and meaningful feedback to umpires, aligned with South African Hockey Association (SAHA) standards.
- Accurately complete an umpire feedback and grading form.
ELIGIBILITY
Entry Requirements
To be eligible to apply for this course, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Competitive Umpiring Experience – Previous experience umpiring hockey at a competitive level.
- People Management Skills – Demonstrated ability to manage, communicate with, and work effectively with people.
- Strong Administrative Skills – Good organisational and administrative abilities.
- Computer Literacy – Competent in using computers and standard digital applications.
- Technology Skills – Comfortable using technology relevant to hockey officiating, including video systems and communication radios.
- Provincial Hockey Affiliation – Must be affiliated with, or linked to, a provincial body within South African Hockey.
Course Registration and Selection
This course has limited availability, and registration does not guarantee a place in the course.
All registrants will be required to submit a short motivation explaining why they believe they should be selected for the course. Please include details of your previous hockey umpiring experience in your submission.
Once the registration deadline has passed, all motivations will be reviewed, and the final selection of participants will be made.

4 x 1 hour online sessions (Attendance of all 4 sessions is mandatory)
